Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd, a premier educational institution nestled in the midst of lush green field and away from the madding crowd is aptly hailed as the ‘Shantiniketan’ of Punjab. It is one of the five educational institution run by Shri Guru Har Gobind Ujagar Hari Trust. The Trust and the institutions came into being due to great personal loss suffered by the founder Bhai Sahib Bhai Narayan Singh Ji and his wife Bibi Ram Kaur Ji When they lost their son Kaka Ujjagar Singh in a mishap in 1908. This resulted in the establishment of the Primary School in May 1909 with four students and then there was no looking back.
The dedication, sincerity, hard work, commitment and the philanthropic spirit of the founder saw the Trust develop from a fledgling one to a fully grown organization under the able leadership of S. Dalbara Singh Sidhu who today, boasts of four educational institution holding aloft the lamp of knowledge.
